A heavily accented man identifying himself as Jordan Belfort (or Belford) called my daughter and threatened her with jail if she didn't send $3,000 to the "IRS" via wire transfer -- insisting that she do so from a Target or Walmart within 2 hours. When she said she wasn't near either of these he told her to go to a GAS STATION. My daughter is a 19-year-old full time college student who earned less than $2,000 last year. This worthless piece of slime had her in tears for 30+ minutes, threatening her with charges of felony tax fraud and other lies. When she asked for proof of his identity, he pretended to escalate the call to his superior, David Lacey (same voice/accent). The sewage bags pulling these scams need to find real jobs instead of terrorizing innocent people. I've contacted the police who have directed me to my state attorney general's office.
