We need to hold the credit card companies responsible, as well as phone companies.
Would a Class Action lawsuit to get our money back from Caller ID services, as well as the state and federal Do Not Call lists work?
I believe there is a special place in hell for these companies and their employees.
I would never do business with any company that disregarded a Do Not Call list to solicit business, especially on mobile phones!
Scammer, dont pick up and DONT PRESS ANY NUMBERS.
They call and leave a message saying they are calling only once to LOWER YOUR CREDIT CARD INTEREST RATE.TO 6.99%, WITHOUT GIVING THE NAME OF THE CARD ISSUER. They are not talking about lowering your overall rates, they say "YOUR CREDIT CARD", implying ONE SINGLE CARD, and they will most likely try to milk out the card info from you. If they can't succeed in the number, they may still find out the card issuing institution' name, and of they have, or can get your name, then they may potentially figure out a way to obtain your numbers as well.
The message says to PRESS 2 TO BE EXCLUDED FROM ALL CALLS.
If you press 2, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOU ARE A REAL PERSON, AND THEY WILL NOT ONLY KEEP CALLING YOU, BUT THEY MAY SHARE OR SELL YOUR NUMBER TO OTHER COMPANIES AS PART OF A MARKETING LIST.
These are automated cold phishing calls. They don't even known if the number exists, and if it does, whether it is a person or a business. They may call a few times and if nobody picks up in person, they may remove the nber from their calling lists. However, once you answer or press anything, you simply give them confirmation that you are a real person.
They should arrest people like this bur the government obviously doesn't give a rat's ass as else, they would have alrwady put an end to most of these calls. Making it a crime punishable by leven a few months of jail time would be deterrent enough to stop most of these calls.

I received a call from this number and they told me they could lower my interest rate on my existing credit card. However, when I asked them which credit card, they would not tell me. Instead the representative rattled off all the major card holders. I continued to ask which credit card several times and then the representative finally hung up on me. I believe this is a SCAM!!!
call from unknown in michigan. no message
They called I was expecting a call so I answered. When I picked up nobody said anything at all.
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. They ask for your expiration date of your credit card. They also know your account balance because your credit card company sends this to credit bureaus like FICO. They give you this info to make you think they are legitimate but they are NOT. After receiving this call, I contact my Discover credit card company and they verified that they did not call me and do not recognize this number.
