This is NOT a Scam, and this number is safe to answer, and you will be given the opportunity to not accept it after you answer it. This is the number that comes up on the Caller ID when it is a call from an inmate who is at Lee County Jail in Ft. Myers, Florida. If you are receiving a call from this number it is an inmate trying to make a collect call to a person they know, and believe has your number. If you do not know anyone at this facility, then they have dialed your number incorrectly or have incorrectly recorded the number of the person they are trying to reach. If you answer it, it will tell you it is a collect call from a correctional institution, as well as the first name of the person who is calling. You then have the option to accept the call or reject the call. I also believe there is an option to not receive these calls from that person in the future, which of course you would do if you did not know the person who has called you in error.
