I have no idea as to why this JERK would be calling me!!!!! When I answered the call there was silence - I just hung up and will block him on my phone. Scammer for sure - so beware and do not give out any information they want or you may regret it.

Yep. Thick accent as described above. She said she worked for a company that was hired by Microsoft to make these calls. She attempted to get me to tell her the key next to the CTRL key then proceeded to tell me to type something or another. I was actually busy researching the phone number and typing a complaint. I knew she was full of it, so I too played along for a while. She would not give up until I finally hung up. SCAM!!

Called last night with the usual spiel about Windows and Microsoft. i asked him if it was in relation to the error code on my screen - #2475. He was confused. I then told him that my manual indicated that the error code meant that someone was trying to scam me. He told me to burn my computer because it lies to me and hung up. Called again a few minutes ago.

scam claiming to need my CLS ID #. Told me to hit "Windows and R" and tell him what it says. Told him I'd have my IT department call him. Said his name was Fred George and his number was 1 888 598-7790 x. 1032. Bogus.

claimed to be working for microsoft and i had lie and tell them all my computers were office computers. SCAM

same as others, a person with a heavy accent at times hard to understand claiming to be a technician with "Windows". I could tell it was a scam. I gave him our IT departments phone number and told him that they would be able to help and he wouldn't give up. When he realized I wasn't going to play along he hung up

Man speaking as if from India, claiming to represent Microsoft and claiming that my computer is infected with virus files that will shut it down. After letting him talk, he hung up because I told him that I know where to find infected files.

I just received a call from the number and played along. By the end he was cursing at me when I called him out that he was a scammer. He even called back a couple minutes later to keep cursing at me.

They called this afternoon, but I did not answer, and they left no message.
