Got same robo call in Hawaii on my answering machine. They didn't say who was calling. Just said "We have a lawsuit against you please call 240-345-1622." Didn't call them back. Thanks to the above comments.

My husband and I got the same robo call saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. We live in Soldotna. We have no IRS problems either. It's a scam.

Yes, received this call as well. I think they are doing this because they know Alaskans just received their PFD's. I owe the IRS nothing, they owe me. Thanks everyone for your comments. I will be blocking the number it came from. It was not the number quoted 240-345-1622. Beware Alaskans or anyone else.

Received a call from this number this morning, a Robitized voice claims that the IRS is filing legal action against me and to please call them at the same number that the robot voice called me from. Scam

I'm in Soldotna and received this loud and obnoxious robo call too. I knew it was a scam but just had to look up who else has dealt with this. We are an older couple who have no problems but what about those that don't understand and go into fear and give out information! This makes me angry.

We got the call as well, we're in Fairbanks. Made my heart race... "The IRS is filing suit against you..." We don't have IRS issues. Sadness

You can report this at www.tigta.gov and there is a link in the upper right corner "IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting". I just received a call this morning and reported it. It was a recording that said the IRS was filing charges. The IRS never calls out of the blue, they will send a letter first.

Same robotic voice call; wants you to return call regarding IRS filing legal action. Contacted CPA who informed me that IRS will always contact you with a letter - NOT by a phone recording.

Same call from robot voice. Got this call at my work number. I do not have IRS problems either, but it said they were going to file legal action against me. Not gonna call. I say it's a scam.

I get the same thing when I call back they want my Social and I decline
