Lowering interest rates for credit cards. The message said, press "1" to speak to a representative now. I pressed "1" and a woman picked up the phone. I asked her the name of the company she was calling for, and she immediately hung up on me.

Stated my credit card was nearing a deadline for a promotion and was needing - for what reason they did not say - verification and was told to stay on the line. I hung up immediately and tried to call the number back but Verizon said it was not a valid number and was not working.
