When the answering machine answered this call they didn't leave a message; they didn't hang up which made the machine think that someone was making a call without dialing and the line was open causing a load beeping noise that could not be stopped unless the phone was disconnected from the wall outlet. What if no one was home or if the line was needed for an emergency and there was not close access to the main phone power to disconnect the power and replug it? Really not happy with these people.
