These guys are a bunch of a-holes! My guess is that these calls are bounced through servers across the country or the world and that's how they avoid getting caught. Also, their caller ID doesn't seem to work because of this- when you call back, just give them any phone number from your area. The will then ask if you are Mr. ......, and if your address is xxxxxx. Say yes to both, and then they will tell you how much money you owe!! It's laughable, but if you want to screw with them you can keep them on the phone for quite a while. They used the same script described by other who commented here. Then start to question their legitimacy, or just flat out tell them that they are morons (or worse, if your feeling really nasty!) One guy went off on a tirade that was hysterical, stringing together expletives that didn't even make sense. I just wonder why the FBI doesn't do something about this?

Yea they called and said they were IRs and that I o them money and that i was going to get arrested and osed my licence if i did not payed i told them i have no money they kept on talking and asking question then he hang up on me.

Yes they call me and said they were the IRS and that i owe them money and that i will be arrested if i did not payed told them i had no money and they gave me their name and bage number.

Received a call today saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Received the same call from 360.718.9987.

They call me at least twice a month, always threatening me to be arrested or that they will file a lawsuit against me

i called them back and they told me not to call anymore and if i did they would call the FBI on me same voice i was called by 2 different numbers

They called and said this is the last time they will call and next time will take action on my answering machine yesterday and they are also calling from 360-718-9987

I am an enrolled Agent who works in a CPA office that specializes in helping people with their tax problems. the IRS would never call you out of the blue like this, nor would they threaten you in this manner. If you have a tax debt, you would get a ton of notices first, giving you the opportunity to call the IRS and work out a resolution, (Or hire a Power of Attorney to help you). If you get a call like this again, ask for the persons name, badge number, managers name and phone number, if the number isn't a local number to your home, it's defiantly a scam. You can always call the IRS directly to eliminate any doubt. IRS # 1-800-829-1040.

I got the same 'robocall', so I called them back -- just out of curiosity -- too see exactly what they'd ask. I never intended to give them any information. Sadly, I didn't even get an answer. I may try again later just to see what they say....

They said the same thing to me. It's probably a phishing SCAM to get all your personal info.

I just got the same VM!!! So don't call back??

This number called me and it was a computer generated voice saying they were the IRS and the recording said...."Internal Revenue Services...the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. to get more information about this case file please call immediately to our department number 253-216-8111." People BEWARE...The IRS NEVER calls anyone!!! They send you certified mail or if there is a IRS office in your area they will come to your door. I know this from personal experience with the IRS.
