Called work number today saying he was Steve Smith from the IRS Investigation Department and there was an arrest warrant out for me (Not sure if me since someone else at work could have answered the phone - ha). He ended with have a blessed day which I believe is frowned upon in government offices - for mixing church and state and for fraud and scamming people. I don't get how people do this stuff. Awful.

He called 9 times. My S/O "played along" with his scam. We died laughing at the following conversation:
S/O: Hello, IRS? How much do I owe?
Scammer: What's your name?
S/O: *gives totally fake name*
Scammer: $3,000.00. If you don't pay, you'll go to jail.
S/O: How do I pay? Credit card? I can pay right now!
Scammer: Go to your bank and withdraw $3,000.
S/O: Okay, and then what?
Scammer: Call me back with more directions.
S/O: Well, I am at the bank and I just pulled out the $3,000. So now what? Where do I go?
Scammer: Don't f*king play with me. *hangs up*

We call back.

Scammer: Hello, IRS.
S/O: If you want to scam someone, you better do it the right way.
Scammer: I'm going to call the police on you! *click*

Overall, if this guy calls, try to get his address of "business" and call the police. If anything, try to get this on a recording for a subpoena by the authorities so we can stop scammers.
