Free home security system for placing a sign in the yard. Usually they do not leave a message, sometimes they do requesting you call back to be removed from their list. I made that mistake once, after the original call. THen the barrage started. I do get calls from other numbers that sound like credit card scams and a bogus debt agency, but those numbers are different from these for a different complaint.

Advertising a home security system for free in exchange for putting up a lawn sign. It starts with a prerecorded message saying "Hi, this Tom from Home Protection." I usually hang up, but today I followed the voice prompts and was connected to a real person. He's the one who gave me the company's name ("Absolute Security") and the callback number above. He refused to give me the company's address or any other way to contact them except that number.

credit card scam (I think); I have received at least a dozen calls from this number over the last 4-6 weeks; I answered only once (about the fourth time); it switched to a live person who started talking about credit cards; I stopped him and hung up; I haven't answered since; no one I have a biz relationship with has this number (cell phone; only family members have number)
