This is ERC collections out of Tacoma, WA
They call and ask to verify last 4 digits of social security number - which I declined (because that would be information I do not want to confirm or deny to someone I do not know).
They claim I have several hundred dollars in unpaid bills from Comcast. I had disconnected Comcast 5 months ago and paid in full, returning equipment personally.
This ERC outfit wanted to charge me over the phone and "settle the bill" probably selling my credit card information to whoever in the process.
I told them I reject any bogus debt collection (never had one in my life) as I settle my bills on time.
After that, called Comcast, giving them my old Account Number - and sure enough - zero balance pending.
