On July 31st, just after 8:30 am ADT, someone with a middle Eastern accent called me claiming to be from Microsoft and said that they had been getting error reports from my computer. I fell for this, just once (let him have remote access to my desktop computer, but he just wanted me to buy some software from Western Union, I didn't), and I've been getting the same kind of calls every now and then. I looked up the area code, and it is in Washington State, but like I said, I (nearly) fell for this once before, and just hung up on him. I did not notice the Caller ID until just now when I went through my Call Display.
Foreign person talking about "something is wrong with your computer" relating to a Microsoft error report. When I returned a call using CallerID, and asked the woman who answered for ID, the woman swore at me (quite colorfully). This number is listed via a Google search as a scam number for the purpose listed above.
Spoofed number, wanted to get on their computer.

Said my personal computer was transmitting something and was in danger. Had an accent. Scammer.
