Someone wanted to fix a virus on my computer.

The sales person told me that one of my computers was infected and had alerted their office. They requested $300 for them to fix my computer. I am an IT professional and know that this a complete scam. They have called us several times from phone number 253-802-0309 from Auburn WA. After expressing that I thought this was a scam, the sales person proceeded to swear and curse at me before hanging up.

They claimed that my computer was going to crash if I didn't go to my computer and enter the information that they told me. I asked for a phone number to call them back and they couldn't offer that. They said that my computer had a virus. I believe this is a scam or phishing.

They said that they were calling from Microsoft Windows and there was an urgent problem with my computer. I had already looked up their number because I had gotten several calls before but no one was on the other end when I picked up the phone. I wondered if someone was harassing me so I used *69 to locate the number and when I checked it on Google I found out that they try to tell you there is a virus on your computer and they try to get you to give personal information. I didn't let the conversation go on that long but told them that they were phishing and engaged in an illegal activity. The woman, who spoke with a very thick Asian accent, told me multiple times to "shut my mouth" as I was warning her I would report her for illegal activity.
