An Indian accented man claimed to represent Windows service, that my computer had junk downloaded on it without my knowledge & he would fix it for me, told me to get in front of my computer....which of course, I did not do. I asked for a number I could call to verify this info & he provided 206-317-1780...which is not a good number.

Caller claimed my computer was sending signals of a dangerous virus and that they could help. Caller spoke with a heavy Indian accent and claimed to be from Windows.

He said he was from “windows support” and was calling because they were receiving error messages from my computer. I laughed a little and told him that I found that hard to believe and asked what company he is representing. He hung up. This person was tryig to scam me.

The caller with an Indian or Pakistani accent said that he was representing Microsoft (??) and told me that our computer was corrupt and that it would not be able to access the internet without help from his services.

Antivirus software. I was informed that they had "discovered over 1000 viruses on my computer and I had less than 2 hours that they could act before my computer became unusable." For a fee they could step me through the process to allow them to fix my computer. The person would not provide their name, company, or callback information when I asked for it after which I disconnected the call.

The caller stated that he was calling regarding my computer.

These scammers are trying to convince people they have viruses and that they should let them into they're computer. The guy I talked to could hardly speak english. They are obviously scammers. Please track them down. They are probably in India, which of course will make it difficult. I hope everyone sees through this scam.
