I received a phone call from 253-843-6164 on an automated pre-recorded messages stating "The reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number. 253-843-6164, I repeat 253-843-6164. Thank you."

Note, they are obtaining your phone number to use it for criminal purposes. The IRS does not call anyone and will send you information in the mail. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK. An investigation has begun and the people responsible are now being criminally investigated.

Just got a call. The person said to be from IRS and had a very strong Indian accent. Not the first time I receive these calls. Blocked immediately.

TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! My dad received a call from this number today while at work by the name of a man claiming to be John Wright leaving a very threatening message. First suspicion came across right away because they didn't provide any information related to my dads name or address. First off IRS would never call with threats they are professionals!!!!

Just received this call today. Said i owed back taxes and had a warrant for my arrest and i needed to pay within an hour or i'd be arrested. Totally fake IRS scam. He said his name was Officer John White (or Wright). Total common name for an "indian guy".

My girlfriend just got the same call! He claimed the she owed the IRS money and that there was a warrant out for her arrest if she did not cooperate. He said she needed to wire transfer $2000!! Haha she hung up after that!

IRS SCAM - he asked for my phone number and I gave him his own number. He said, "this is your number?" I said yes. He then said, "F*** You" and hung up.

This was the IRS scam - they told me that there is a warrant for my arrest. I asked which office they worked out of and he told me that was a security question that he won't answer and that he will ask the questions. I hung up. Then another guy called and asked for my husband.
