This is the third time they have called me. Of course, there was a problem with my windows desktop. I decided to have some fun, "I have five desktops, which one, has the problem" I was met with disbelief that I would have 5 desktops in my home. He insisted it was mine, which one is mine, how do you know it is mine, and that I should know which one is mine and I need to go to it. When I asked for the IP address fo the pc in question, he hung up. I hope he calls back so I can play with him some more
Male with E Indian accent, claiming to be from Microsoft Tech Support, said my computer was infected with virus or similar malware. Claimed MS gets feedback from every MS machine with problems. When I started questioning him, he said I wasn't listening to the severity of the issue and that he needed to have access to my machine to fix it. He didn't want to hear of the risks of letting a stranger have access to computer. He said he had reg. number of my machine. When I asked which Operating System I was using, he said "Windows 10." I said you're wrong, and goodbye, hanging up. I'm actually currently using Windows 7 & XP!
CID showed name as Wris, William W (which I doubt).
No message left, but looked number up and was identified as SPAM. Blocked number from phone.
Caller claimed they were receiving error info. from my computer. He didn't even state the name of the supposed company he was representing. Gave him an earful several times from the very loud whistle I keep by my phone for such SCAM calls as this. The caller ID only showed as an "out of area" call from phone number (254-771-1865). Blocking this number!
Called about windows for my computer. When I questioned more what he needed to speak to me he got upset. Then asked how I was doing. Told him I was better before he called and spoke rudely to me. Then he said "f*** off you stupid American you bloody mother f******. I wish everyone would f*** you you stupid f****** idiot." He went on to say more of the same and eventually hung up.
