I did what another blog said and spoke to them. It wasn't my debt so they stopped calling me.
Received a call from this number. It was a computer call that asked if you are not (NAME) press 2, if you are (NAME) press 1. Then someone answers the phone and asks, "How can I help you?" My response, "You called me." Their response: "We are collecting a debt for [NAME OF COMPANY]. When can you make payment?" I asked how old the debt is? When was the last activity they had on the debt? Is the debt valid? They asked for my current address and phone number. They said they would send the information I requested. I asked if they could provide proof that they are a licensed collector in the State of Texas. She responded that she would have to check with a supervisor and hung up on me.
CALLER ID SHOWS CALLER "LOCAL OFFICE"

Be very careful. In Texas the statutes of limitations are as follows. If you have not made a payment on the original debt in 4 years you do not owe the debt. These debts get sold from one company to another. If your not careful you will open this account back up and the statutes will start all over again. Don't ask them for anything, just don't talk to them.
they keep calling for somebody that does not have this number
