This number keeps calling me. When I take the call they tell me i owe money. That I'll be getting papers in the mail but I haven't got anything yet. I called the police about it now I'm getting a lawyer. I'm completely over this.
I have been receiving calls for the last two weeks from 267-525-0092 but they never leave a message. I do not answer the phone if I don't know the caller. If this is a collection agency, then you have the right to receive something in writing detailing the amount of the loan, who provided the loan, and the dollar amount. Most states have a statute of limitations regarding how long you can collect on a loan. Most collection agencies figure most people don't know this. Do not pay them any money because that will start the statute of limitations clock all over again. Also, most states do not allow garnishment of wages and collection agencies cannot suspend your driver's license. Report these calls to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Also, contact your state's Attorney General's Office. Document all calls received: date and time. Ask them for their name, address and phone number. If they refuse to send you validation of the debt, do not talk to them until they do. In fact, you might want to call the actual loan company. Remember, some collection agencies buy old accounts for pennies on the dollar and try to collect on dormant accounts, as well as accounts already paid in full. Finally, this phone number is from the Philadelphia, PA area.
