Meyer and Associates - cold calling people who look like they might have money to invest - they offer a lot of stuff that is considered "blue sky" or "private offering" to get around having to be registered in the states that they are calling trying to sell this crap.

Those types of investments are not registered with the SEC. This is a bad type of investment with little oversight. Most cannot be easily re-sold and may have no real value.
