I got the pretty much the same call today. I've heard from these people before, but this time they asked for a different name, neither of which were mine.

Is this for real?

I received this message, "This is calling for David Goldstein in reference to file number. We are calling to verify your current address. If you can provide any information on the current address. Please contact our office immediately after a documented effort to contact you. This file maybe forwarded with. I want(?) your input show good intent. Contact us directly at 281-324-0066. That number again is 281-324-0066. Formal message document."

When transferred to a human I was hung up on. Upon calling back I was hung up on by 4 more people. It is an illegal scam operation happening in a small environment, as you can hear other people's conversations. They refuse to identify themselves or their company but it is an obvious scam.

CALLED 3 DIFFERENT DAYS THIS WEEK ASKING FOR 3 DIFFERENT NAMED PEOPLE,NONE OF WHOM LIVE HERE . LEFT THIS MESSAGE FOR ALL THREE "This is calling for David Goldstein in reference to file number. We are calling to verify your current address. If you can provide any information on the current address. Please contact our office immediately after a documented effort to contact you. This file maybe forwarded with. I want(?) your input show good intent. Contact us directly at 281-324-0066. That number again is 281-324-0066. Formal message document."

leaves a message in a very stern male voice. Demanding that I verify my current address and if I don't my file will be forwarded without my consent. They don't address me by my name so I know its a general voicemail that goes out to all victims. Do not call these people back and do not verify your personal information. If you owed anybody money or committed a crime....they would already know your address and so would your local magistrate. Don't let them scare you. Block them now.
