Every call starts out by trying to scare me into staying on the line to buy a Home Security System by rattling off some government statistic about crime rates and how to protect myself and my family.

I have received the same call from other numbers, but the message is always the same,"Don't hang up - did you know that home break-ins... blah, blah, blah... " I am always given the option of pressing a key to have my number placed on THEIR do not call list, but I'm already on a national Do Not Call List and telling them not to call me back does no good anyway as I end up getting more calls in the following days and weeks. One day I received two or three calls on my cell phone (don't know how they got that), and then, that evening, after trying to talk to one of their representatives, my home phone rings with the same message from the same company. Maybe there is more than one operation out there, but they all sound very similar.
