I, too, just received a call this morning asking me about lowering my rates. The minute I asked which card they represented and informed them that I was on the DNC list, they hung up. I redialed and it said the number is out of order. I am going to report this on the DNC registry website. I hope you all will too! Like we all dont have enough to worry about without adding scummy people trying to pull a scam on us!

I received a call from 1-281-982-2498 just after i downloaded an app on my phone. how many other people are using an android phone and started to get calls after downloading various apps.

This company trying contact me and when I press "1" and respentative answer. Ask if I wanted to lower my rate. Well, I told them, but I would like them to take my name offer, but they hang on me. I really believe this is a SCAM. What company would hang on client whether they want to lower interest rate or not.

Recording to tell me to call so I can lower my credit card rate.

I received a call from this number and immediately there was a pre-recorded message telling me "my credit card was in order" but I needed to call them back today at this number to received the lowest possible rates. This number is not in existence, or has been disconnected, which would make this phone call totally irrelevant since, even if it were legitimate, which it certainly is not, you are unable to speak to anyone. Phone calls such as this with a pre-recorded message are no longer legal and should be reported to the FTC as soon as they occur. It makes you wonder whether they are actually able to "troll" for information regarding your phone by just calling it.
