This number is calling elderly people, saying they're calling from Social Security, asking them to verify social security number, date of birth, address, etc before they can mail them a new "plastic" Medicare card. Social Security will NEVER call you. Medicare will NEVER call you. Neither Agency will EVER mail a plastic Medicare card to you. This is a scam. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW. DO NOT GIVE OUT or VERIFY PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH ANYONE OVER THE PHONE! HANG UP! Please tell your elderly friends and family members, make sure they understand this!
