They keep calling my government desk phone at my office. They always hang up when I answer.

Screened the call and waited for the answering machine to kick in. When it did, the caller hung up. This has happened numerous times from this and other numbers.

Portfolio Recovery is a liquidation company for credit collection agencies, they buy up old past due bills from collection agencies for bills that could be over 15 yrs old that you may have already paid but whoever you paid did not tell all the agencies they sent the past due bill to

They call several times a week, never leave a message!
ID says name is Portfolio Recovery
They have several different numbers they use--area Codes 303, 951, 760, 859, 770.

they call my cell phone. they even call me at work. I just hang up when they call me at work. it's annoying. The phone company and the government should do something about these people. They all sound like they are calling from India or Pakistan.

The caller ID came up as PORTFOLIO RECOVERY... they did not speak nor do they leave a message if the answerer catches it. PORTFOLIO uses a # of people or computers with many area codes... got them from area code 303, 954 and 401 AND their are others that I haven't kept track of. Believe this is one of those outfits that says "Work from HOME" and you get a percentage of anything you can collect. From a list of #'s that is supplied.... trouble is much of the time NOTHING is actually owed.
