Scam to lower CC rate
Someone calls then hangs up
Not sure who this is but the number when you call it back is not in service they call me several times a day
I find it hard to believe all the government agencies in charge of this type of action are either unwilling, or unable to find these people and put a stop to the scam harassment. Something smells.

Why are you all amazed that even on the do not call list they are STILL calling YOU? They are scammers with computer generated numbers and the computer doesn't know how to read or even care about a do not call list. They want to steal money from you and that's all. If you find it impossible not to answer the calls then go ahead and when it asks you to press 1 to speak with them go ahead. When they pick up immediately say "Hi this is Fred Lawson with the Ohio Attorney Generals fraud prevention division, How can I help you today?". It wont stop the calls because they don't care but the first few times its kinda fun. As for the idiots that are actually calling.. They are in either India or the Philippines and they are spoofing (using non working numbers as a cover for caller ID on your phone) and they cannot be reached by calling the number back. Also if you talk to a scammer and tell them to take you off the list they know its a number that has a fool that will answer the phone even if they know the number on the caller ID is spoofed. The government doesn't care, the phone companies don't care, and the do not call list doesn't care. Live with it or write nasty letters to your congressmen and even to Obama. That wont help either but it may relieve some of your stress. Now take a Xanax and grab a nap cause your phone is about to ring again.
