IRS grant scam

Got 5 calls within 8 minutes. Had not had one from them for almost a week.

First of all the number dows not exist it seems to bd a spoof number , they keep calling about a device i have not used in 5 years.

They claimed my computer was infected an told me what to do to show it was infected. I played along with them an wasted their 10 minutes. I hung up on them an they tried calling me back 4 times in next hour.

Many missed calls from this number daily. Very persistent. I've asked to be removed and the same lady calls with a different name. Finally had enough info to log it here and block from my calls.

Collette (strong accent) with the US Government explaining that I had been chosen from a survey of citizens in my city/ state for a government grant of $5000, I believe. "You can receive this by cash, direct deposit, or credit cash card." I asked her to mail it to me in writing and she ended the call.

Told that I would lose all the data on my computer due to Windows. Provided a number to call. Probably so they can install some malware.

Phone call from Florida. Claimed my number was selected by the government to get a $9,000 grant that I don't have to pay back. Person sounded foreign too. Very fishy!

Answered no one would respond
