I received the following voicemail from this number:
"We had conducted an audit on your tax file. We found some errors in your paperwork. So a case has been listed on your name as a primary subject. Contact tax crime investigating team at 1-305-340-2434. Thank you." Scam!

Missed call from this number. Called back, definitely a scam

Called me too and i called them back before looking the number up online. first thing he asked was my name (shouldnt he KNOW that?) made the mistake of giving it to him. then , as he and i were talking, looked the number up and saw these complaints (so glad it was here) and i told him..look your from india and running a scam. he hung up. i called back. he answered "irs..nick jones..may i help you" i said "nick you hung up on me..." so ..he hung up again. i wasnt done. called from my google number and identified myself as ben cartwright. own a cattle farm called the ponderosa and nervous about my taxes. he understood. asked my legal name and ss #. made up a ss# and he came back and said i owe $2340 from 2012 through 2014 and gave me a bunch of legal codes (lol) he said get a pen and write down my case number.i said.."little joe, get paw a pen" wrote it all down and he transfered me to his supervisor "steve" who said go to walmart and send the money. i said ok..to where..huh he replied... and i said..where? after 5 minutes he said he would call me back lol..what a scam. if he does call back i'll finish the story. sound like they're from india

just got the same IRS Scam call. Looked up the number and found this site. IRS Would never robo call you......its a scam

Received same call. Tax Crime Investigator. Said they had a case open and that I needed to call them. Will block their number.
