My friend was called and didn't answer the message. She was told that :This is the IRS and she was going to be sued for back taxes. I checked the phone number and informed him that it is definitely a scam.

Received the same IRS message ~ When I called back, a Hindu man answered and asked how he could help me. I asked to whom I was speaking and his reply was 'The IRS ~ how can I help you?'.~ I asked him again to whom I was speaking and he said he was the Officer. I asked, Officer WHO? He told me his name was James Scott, and asked how he could help me. I informed him that he called me, so... how can I help you? HE IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP !!!

I just received a call from 305-417-6394 with an automatic recording; I called it back and Officer Calvin Smith who has a strong Hindi accent answered. There was no "welcome to the IRs" messaging or anything.
He informed me of my name and address. He said there was a lawsuit against me by the IRS for an audit done for 2009 - 2014. He said there was a warrant for my arrest and that I owed $7,906. He asked if I did this intentionally. He said there was nothing he could do to stop it. I asked was I notified in writing by the IRS and he informed me that someone was at my door on two different occasions with paperwork...It seemed quite fishy to me so I hung up and blocked the #

I just spoke with officer Calvin. He said I am too smart to be scammed that it is a scam and he needed to make more calls to get paid.

They called me left a message 3 days in a row. So I called it back & a Hindu sounding guy says his fake name and says he's an officer with the IRS. When I called him on his bs he got angry cussed & hung up.
