SCAM!!! Block this number!!!

The message goes something like this:

"I'm calling regarding about an enforcement action for the US Treasury demanding your serious atttention.

Ignoring this message will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before a magistate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense.

The number to reach us is 305-587-2971

I repeat the number is 305-587-2971

I advise you to cooperate with us and help you help us."

Yes they did - he said he was Austin Cooper. When I told him to quit bothering me & take me off his list he started swearing at me. Received a call like this about a yr - yr and a half ago & reported it to the IL Atty General's Ofc but of course he could have cared less, he sounded very bored as I was telling him & told me to go online & file a report. My problem with this is they are going to get a Senior Citizen who believes this crap & there goes their money. There has to be a # or Department we can call that takes these scammers seriously.

I got this call it home in North Carolina. Such obvious scammers.

Claim to be with the Irs and US Treasury. States that if I don't call back that I will have to go in front of a grand jury. Indian accent.

Has to be a scam. No name given. Must have been a recording as it started before the greeting was finished. Any legal request is always made in writing so ignore this call.
