This was from a copany telling me to press 1 to get a lower rate on a credit card. When I pressed 1 and got a real person, she hung up! FRAUD OR NOT????

These people call quite frequently with a recorded message and because this has been going on for approximately a year now, I would like to have it stopped if possible. Next calls will be to my telephone carrier and LVMPD and then FBI, hopefully this should stop the harrasing calls. I also know that I have no previous business communication with them, and actually feel they have reached me by error. Now its possible if I call back that they will try and 1) either sell me something 2) show that their legitimate and want me to buy something, or 3) use fraudulent practices to ruin my credit rating. The matter is not over as far as I'm concerned, next calls should put and end to this posssible scam.
Drop a complaint on this site maybe Bell South will disconnect the number due to this Bell South Customer abusing their services to scam people for their CC #'s..can't hurt to try..http://www.topix.com/forum/city/miami-fl/T35KI00K93RJA0VUP
Please report the numbers when they call to www.ftc.gov/donotcall. I received a call from this number which is listed as disconnected or no longer in service. I am afraid this is a group who is trying to get personal information and rob people.I also reported to the number to my phone service provider.

I just received a call from this number. We get random calls looking for a name of someone we don't know, so my first intent was to make sure they have the wrong number. The person who answered when I pressed 1 to speak to a representative said that they were with Visa Mastercard. My husband and I don't own any credit cards, so I know they called the wrong person. When I asked the lady who they were looking for she said, "The primary card holder on your account." I started to ask, "And what is the name on that..." And she hung up on me! Don't let these people bully you around, don't give them you're info, (Not even your name!) make them tell you what info they think they have, and make sure you document what happens if they harass you. If you go to Dateline's website they did a great special on this kind of scamming. After the lady hung up on me I called the number on my phone and it was a disconnected number. They were just trying to pull a scam, and I wasn't gonna let them.
Got call on mobile. When picked up call no response
