Beware. I think these people are running a fishing scam. not really debt collectors because they do not follow correct debt collection protocol. I don't owe any money to anyone. As an interesting coincidence, I recently closed my Time Warner, and paid and have not received any Time Warner correspondence looking to be paid. Nor does Time Warner claim I owe them any money. They refused to tell me who their super secret client that they represent was until I verify my address and identity.... I THINK NOT! Do NOT EVER give out information about who you are to ANYONE on the phone that calls you! This is NOT a collection agency. These are phone scam operators.
Your web site says the call is a collection agency for Time Warner. I hung up because all the caller said was that she was from IC when I demanded to know who she was. So I figured it was a telemarketing call since I had no idea who IC was which sounded more like IT. I sure didn't want to talk to some stranger about IT. Time Warner is a call I have found to be a hugh mistake but we only have two choices of ISP in this area.
That it is Time Warner is interesting. I wrote on the bill that I will pay them when they deliver the service tech comes to hook it up. I have never used their internet service. The caller just now merely said she is from IC. She did not identify herself as from Time Warner or I would have spoke to her. Time Warner has a terrible communication problem. i wrote to the BBB.org to tell what happened to me. I guess I will have to file a complaint with them to get their employees to realize they need better training.
Time Warner Collection agency. I called Time Warner. I closed my account with them over a month ago. I owe them nothing. They said I owed them nothing and it was verified by THREE representatives on three prior phone calls. Despite the fact that I owe them nothing and returned all the equipment I had (which they also verified), they turned me over to this collection company for $42.00 anyway. Now they are telling me that they are NOT responsible for this company harassing me twice a day EVERY day on the phone. The last time I spoke to Time Warner, I was on the phone with them for two hours. They disconnected me twice and I had to hang up three times because the line was so bad, I could not understand them. They had me talking to people in South Carolina that couldn't do anything because this happened in New York and refused to allow me to talk to a supervisor. TWC customer service sucks!!!!
