Robocall about social security number being removed due to suspect activity
These folks, supposedly from Broken Bow, Nebraska, left several voice mails on my Sprint IPhone. I called them back, and someone who identified himself as a security person asked when I got the call. I assumed it was a collection agency looking for a family member. Then he said he needed my SSN to discuss a private matter. I told him the last 4 digits, which are public record. He tried to insist. When I kept refusing, he told me that I would be reported as a criminal because of suspicious uses of my account. I told him that this was clearly a scam and that I would report him to the FCC.
