They come up as Salvation Army on my phone but they are not. They raise money, they say, for many charities. Here's what I found online: This appears to be a Chicago boiler room operation using at least five different spoofed CID numbers: 217-666-4115, 224-250-9923, 309-270-1933, 519-315-8813, and 630-481-7958. They all use the same set of scam stories. The call source appears to be Chicago because most of the spoofed numbers have Chicago area codes.
