I recieved phone call on my cell and work vm. Like everyone here, it was a thick accent man named Joseph Daniels and he also stated that if my lawyer didn't contact him immediately, "unpleasant thing are going to unfold". Interestingly enough, I haven't been able to get thru b/c line is perpetually busy. I'm glad I checked here for first. Can't wait to take this guy down...

I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL TODAY FROM A MAN WHO SAID HIS NAME WAS STEW AUSTIN. HE DIDNT LEAVE WHERE HE WAS CALLING FROM OR WHY HE WAS CALLING. ALL HE SAID WAS THAT I HAD BETTER CALL HIM BACK OR HE COULDNT SECURE WITH ME THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE OKAY. IT REALLY SCARED ME, SO I GOT ON PEOPLE SEARCH AND PAID THE 4.95 AND IT LISTED THIS NUMBER TO BE FROM A MAN KNOWN AS ANACETO C. SANCHEZ FROM LAKEWOOD, CA. HE HAD A REAL SPANISH LIKE OR IRABIAN LIKE ACCENT. I DONT KNOW, BUT IT SCARED ME AND I TRIED TO CALL IT BACK AND I GOT NO ANSWER. IT SAYS THAT THIS IS A LANDLINE, AND THE CARRIER IS PAC-WEST TELECOM,INC. I MEAN I DONT KNOW WHO THIS IS. HE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO CALL HIM OR HAVE MY UNDISCLOSED ATTORNEY CALL HIM. I DONT KNOW. THIS IS SCARY BS.

They have been calling me fir weeks now and different # each time. I am going to call FTC tomorrow any other suggestions to get them to stop??

Received a call first from a Mr. Joe Brown stating that I need to contact a Mr. Dan Wilson about monies I owed on a payday loan. I questioned him on who the lender was and when the deposit was suppose to have been deposited. Told me I was being sued and I should appear in court, etc.

A man called me with a thick accent saying his name was Dan Wilson attorney and charges were pending on me for a bogus check cashing service not true do not send this man money he is a fraud

I received a phone call as well from a man named Dan Wilson who claims to be a lawyer from the department of lagal Affairs. He told me that i owe for a loan wich i never received. He also told me that I would have to go to court in San Francisco and if I did not show up then they would issue a warrant out for my arrest. And they would contact my emplorer and that i would get more information when i hear from my employer. I did some research and something can be done to stop these people from other possible victimizing events. Please do not hesitate to report them to The Federal Trade Commission at (202) 326-2222. With just one complaint is not enough to take it seriously. Please help me to help you do something about it.

Got the same call as others and don't appreciate being threatened! I have a child and take threats more seriously than the FBI!

I also recieved a call from this number. The guy with a heavy acent left me a voicemail saying I needed to call back or my attorney, unpleasant things will happen if I dont call and all he can do is wish me luck. This all sound like a threat. Who is this guy? I tried to call back but the voicemail says it is full. He claimes his name is Steve Johnson....yeah right. whatever jerk.

The heavily African accented man called and left messages both on my cell and also called my place of employment stating his name was Joseph Daniels and that I needed to have my lawyer contact him immediately or else unpleasant things are going to unfold and he wished me luck. On another site, numerous people also received strange calls from the same person but he was using different names.
