A person by the name of MONICA MELCHIORI, age 40, of Chicago, Illinois is suspected of placing VoIP calls from various "spoofed" phone numbers such as this one to home VoIP telephone/internet lines to illegally gain access to home modem networks and connected computers and cell phones in an attempt to install spyware and obtain personal information. It is further suspected that by way of spyware, this individual is able to acquire passwords to access internet accounts and steal credit card numbers to make fraudulent purchases online.
