INDIANA - Just applied for SS, Medicare. Today 4-1-21 rcvd call from 312-575-6999, phone identified as SS. I picked up, said HELLO 3 times, no response. Tried 4 times to call back - busy. I have several numbers for SS, this does not match any of them.
Caller: "Social Security"
Left me message saying they were SS regarding my Medicare app that can't be processed, there is a prob. When I called # 3125756999 back they said this and official SS office and address is 600 W Madison in Chicago and the # they left on message was so quiet and garbled I can't get the # they said to call back on. Very weird.
Caller: SS Office
It sounded official, and I did just apply for Social Security and Medicare benefits, but an awful lot of people are saying it's a scam. I don't know what to think.
