One call recd was from the government grant dept. the individuals name was Kevin. He left a long message on my phone which I have saved. He was fresh, he sang, and he whistled before he hung up. I spoke w/this person and told him to not call me again. He immediately called right back and left a long message in which he said that I was listening to him. He also said I would never receive anything from the govt grant dept if I asked for it. Then he proceeded to sing and then whistle before hanging up. The other calls are from banks (I think) offering to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. I push no. I according to the prompts to speak with someone and ask them to remove me from their call list. They hang up in me. This has continued to happen. I rec. calls from 8 different #s at various times of the day. I kept track of all these calls.

Reduced credit card rates. Waited for Operator,and told them I wasn't interested, asked them how to avoid these calls. They hung up. This is the latest incident. each time the number comes from some different area code, but the same recorded pitch.

The company name is Cardmember Services, and they call promoting the availability of lower credit card rates. They provide an option where you can opt out of future calls, but, apparently it is a ruse, does not work, and I continue to get call after call. The calls originate from several locations around the country, meaning I get multiple calls. On a couple of occasions, I have pretended to be interested in getting information about the product in order to get information about the company in order to file a complaint and to ask them not to call me. The representatives get very evasive, do not want to give any information about their company, address, etc....and then get very rude and hostile, finally hanging up on me.

I'm sick and tired of the intrusions, and I want the calls to stop and I want them to respect my "do not call" status!
