Says they can lower my credit card bills. Asks for me to wait for a customer service representative. When I DO wait and someone comes on the line, I ask them to please remove me from their call list and they hang up - same thing every time.

I think this is an automated phone call that doesn't always work and appears to be someone calling and hanging up. Other times when it does work, it is a woman who starts out by saying "Hello, This is ??? calling to inform you how to lower your credit card rates" words to this affect.
Basically one is supposed to give your credit card numbers to them over the phone so they can get your rates lowered for you. The end result is to charge to your account.

you can lower credit card interest rates through Cardholders Services. Two of the calls were of males voices and each DID NOT identify themselves. Only Rachel gave a name.
