Call claimed to be from IRS. Same M.O. as other calls. Contacted the authorities and filed a complaint. Did not call back.

Got a call two days in a row from this number with a recording saying it was the IRS filing a lawsuit against me. I knew it was a scam and have blocked their number now.

The IRS will send actual mail for any issue that may come up with them. They will NEVER call you. This number is a total scam.

Nothing but the number 315-400-1469 showed on caller ID. The recorded message was that they were trying to reach me regarding a lawsuit that the IRS has filed against me. I, too, knew it was not legit because I am in good standing with the IRS. They would have no reason to notify me and I agree with the person who said, they would first contact you by letter regarding a matter of this kind. They wanted me to call the same number in return to find out more about this so-called lawsuit, but I will not call them. Just wanted to report it. Hopefully if enough of us report this scam, there will be an investigation. Isn't it illegal to impersonate a government official? IRS department is considered a government official. Seems that the FBI would already be on this one. It would be inappropriate for me to say what I wish would happen to these scammers!
