I just received a call from this number too. I didn't call back it seems like fraud. I thought I google the number. It is a fraud.

I got this call as well today, same number and contact person. Aside from being spam it looks like its charging your phone $2.95 per call which you hear at the end when you try to call back the number.

Got the same kind of call today. Since this area code is 315 and is from New York, I looked it up and found this news item titled:

"Police warn of IRS phone scammers calling from 315 area code": http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2014/11/police_warn_of_irs_phone_scammers_calling_from_315_area_code.html

Now the scammers are calling Canadians and using CRA instead of IRS.

I received a call from 3156365869. Thank God I checked it out before returning the call. it seems to be some scam. I think we should report it to the anti fraud dept

Yes, today I received a call from the same person, same number. I believe it is a fraud.

Today I got a call from this number who claimed to be one Nicki Johnson from Revenue Canada. I believe this is a scam.

Yep, same number called me last night. It was a computerized voice saying that it was Nicki Johnson from CRA and that I was to phone them immediately. Also threatened "action". I took a bit seriously as it just so happens I'm an Executor dealing with an estate and filing last tax returns with CRA, etc. so I thought it might be legit. Gave the number a call twice. No answer both times so, yep, definitely some type of scam. Glad I Googled the number and saw everyone's comments. Thanks people! Very helpful!

I got call from 315 636 5869…its a New York number. Asking to return the call before they take action. The number is not one of the CRA listed numbers. Looks like SCAM to me

Voice recording claiming to be Nicky Johnson from the Canada Revenue Agency. Provides this number is their hotline
for her division. It says to return the call before we take any action against you. Scam for sure. CRA would never give a US number etc.
