I got a call from this number, he claimed it is from IRS. I read the news regularly and know it is a scam and they try steal money from me. other person may not be aware of it and may be trapped. This phone number is coming from New York, is there a way to contact NY police to crack it down? Does it needs an ID to get a phone? eventually they need to pay for the phone bill.

got called three times today ,said it was the IRS and looking for some one else told them to stop calling me he told me it would cost me 500.00 dollars to stop calling I said no then he said he could help me so I blocked the number.

It is not east indian accent, it is middle eastern or north african accent.
