They called me today and left a message. I called back and it was an Indian guy. He used my nickname, the IRS would know me by my full name. And I only work part time and make very little money, I'm sure if the IRS has bigger fish to fry. The guy was hard to understand and He was being cagey. I asked why I didn't get a letter if I had a problem with the IRS, He said that the letter was returned, total BS. He kept saying "I can explain the problem to you" but he never did, so I hung up on him. Total scam do not talk to these assholes.

yep...I answered and told the guy he should try googling his own phone number....he yelled at me and hung up. Same guys have been calling for the past 6 months. They will call again from another number I'm sure.

I got a call today 5/16/16 at 10:01 am they left a message and it was a female computerized call. "IRS. The very second you receive this message, I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. I am Officer Nicky Johnson from IRS and the hotline to my division is 315-804-6518. Don't disregard this message. And do return the call before we take any actions against you. Goodbye & take care."

I also just received this call stating they were the IRS... I immediately knew it was a scam... not to mention they called my google voice # . I never give out that number...

Just received a call from 315-804-6518 stupid fool left a voice mail. Said he was with the IRS

said they are calling from the irs and that i owe taxes

Also i received call from this number, pretending to be IRS, im Spanish and my English is not so good, so i askd for a Spanish assistance and the guy started laughing, he hang up and i calld again but the number was disconnected

Same automated call with female voice. They call everyday. Unfortunately there are people who fall for this scam.

I got the same phone call.. computer generated female voice. I found it hilarious since I work for the IRS and know that the IRS will NEVER phone you concerning an issue unless you are in an active dispute and they are calling you back to rectify any situation. The Internal Revenue Service will send you a letter concerning your return or if there is an issue. DO NOT give these people any personal information. When I called and was asking some questions the young man was helpful.. Then I asked from what office he was calling.. He got irritated and asked why that is important. When I advised him that I was the IRS he hung up.

Received the same automated IRS message, my callback was greeted by a douchebag named Eric who wouldn't answer basic questions such as what the call was in regards to. When I asked to be removed from the list and stated I would be reporting as a scam I was hung up on.

I knew they were a scam, so I called them back and said to put me on their do not call list. The person refused to do that.

Scam call using IRS name. Never respond to these calls. IRS will never call you at home but will send letters many time before they come after you.

Called and left a voicemail (female computerized voice) saying it was the IRS and to call them as they were ready to file a lawsuit. Said "take care" at the end of the message. Never mentioned my name or any other identifying information.

I had a call from this number too same day as you but at 2:47 pm. Also said take care at the end...
