I did not recognize the caller's number. When I "howdy-doed" there was no immediate response, so I terminated call.
An unwanted robocall from this Iowa City, IA invalid (spoofed) number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, a woman's recorded voice announced "a reduction in your credit card rate by pressing 1 now!"
Folks, this is a nationwide credit card scam -- obtaining credit card numbers to create fraudulent transactions. These trolls are the reason you should always LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.
