Interesting...received a call today from 401-583-4565 (RI, USA), immediately blocked it. Then received a call from 320-264-8985 (Kerkhoven, MN), immediately blocked it. What next? This is ridiculous!!! This just started today 4/17/2015. I have no idea where they got my cell# from. I have been getting a lot of phone calls on my landline for the past month every night at about 7 p.m. and I suspect it is the same scam artists. I don't have caller ID, but screen all calls through my answering machine (family and friends know my screening process). Telemarketers don't, so...they usually hang up, which in this case has been happening. My husband has picked up a couple of times and tried to engage a conversation, he hears noise like someone is on the line, but nobody talks so he hangs up.
I missed the call and looked up the number. Thank you all for your feedback. I have re-registered my whole family's numbers on the DNC list and also filed a complaint with them about this number. It is very simple and easy (donotcall.gov). You should all do the same, so they can stop this nonsense.
I don't even have a credit card and they called me... What the heck?!
They just called me. I pressed 1. They answered and I sais they stated that they wanted to update my credit card info? So they asked if I had $4+k in CC debt? I said, you called me, you're supposed to know. Well you pressed 1 they said! So I promptly said F---ing A$$holes and hung up. SIDE NOTE: I just got done w/BK and have no CCs so I dragged them along to see what they'd say. I should've said yes and continued then told them!
Same as everyone else I received this call from Kerkhoven, MN, did not recognize the call and they left no message. Thanks to everyone else for the information that this is probably a scam to obtain credit card information. Thanks to all.
