The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received several complaints about Medicare scam calls from 321-800-5845. The LIVE male caller said he was calling from “Humana Pharmacy” and told the victim that his/her doctor was going to put in a prescription for pain cream. The scammer had the victim’s Humana ID, address and phone number, and duped the victim of his/her primary care physician name, birthdate, vin and PCN numbers. THIS IS A SCAM. Report these scams to your medical insurance company (such as Humana), the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov), and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org). DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS. Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs). If you see that Medicare has been billed for medical services, equipment or prescriptions that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org) and to Medicare (1-800-MEDICARE, 1-800-633-4227).
