Thanks everyone...I also contacted my local FBI and they too said it is a scam. They get calls everyday about this company. She said don't do anything. I later spoke to my brother who is a Federal Prosecutor he suggested the next time, like someone said, ask alot of questions. Ask for a Badge Number, what branch of the Federal Goverment do they work for? Which Federal Agency do they have an affililiation with? And then lastly tell them if they don't stop contacting you, you will file a Defamation of Character Lawsuit. He also suggested if everyone is up for it to find out how we can file a Class Action Suit against this company....I am up for it...anyone else???
Received a call from this number as well. Talked to a guy name Scott and was told that I owed a large amount of money to a payday loan place. They had my correct bank name and was very convincing, but after talking to him more about in I discovered that it was a scam because the bank I had was only a couple months old and they claimed that the loan was from July when I asked aome more info about the place he got really nervous and then hung up on me. People be very careful and ask question this is my third phone call from them. Also the same ring happen last year around this time. Ask question and trust your gut before you so anything.
The police and FBI have been notified. A report has been filed with the FBI on the above mentioned call this morning. Do not give out any personal info. Ask for an addressand then call te police.
Received several calls from this number and company stating I have 3 Criminal Charges against me by Jessica @ Financial Crime Investigators Bureau located in Los Angeles, CA. She then put me on the phone with Scott Federal ID #2245. Both of which had very strong accents...Jessica with an Indian (Pakistani) accent. Scott said he was talking to me because my case Lawyer Roy King was in a meeting. When I started to ask questions Scott started mumbling something I quite couldn't understand then the line went dead. When I called back several times in a row the line was busy several times. Finally Jessica answered the phone again and said I needed to call Scott and Roy back in 5 minutes because they were unable to speak to me. I told her I would call back in 10 minutes. Sometime during the conversation she told me I needed to talk to these guys or else they would come to my job to arrest me at work. Is this legal??? Is this company for real??? Everything I am reading says they are a fraud. What should I do at this point???

My friend received a call just now and her incident was just about identical to yours. I was p*ssed that she was so upset, scared, and crying. I called them back and told the idiot on the other like he had TWO hours to fax me a copy of this co called debt! He was very unprofessional, had a thick Indian accent, and it sounded like he was calling from some sweatshop call center with a sh*tload of people in the backround! My co worker I believe may call the cops since they were threatening her to sue her if she didn't pay them $650! Anyone who is familiar with collection calls (I am thanks to my PAST) knows collection agents who do this can get fined or fired! It's a total SCAM!
this is a scam
