they called this evening at 7:17pm....by my first name...then proceeded to quickly address the reason for call...they were seeking a "one-time" donation ... I WISH I had the option on my phone to block this number

Just got a call from this number which I did not recognize and did not answer. They did not leave a message. Glad I did not answer after reading that it's a SCAM...

Yes this is a scam. The woman asked for Brooke (not my name). It seemed like baiting to get me to give my name; she sounded really shady.

Courtesy Call" for Breast Cancer Fund. At around 8:30pm PT. I mentioned to her I donated thRu my company and they matched the amount. She keep saying, I start you with $15 and send a package. I told her again, I donated thr my workplace for 1:1 matching. Tell here not to do anything. Goodbye and hangup.

Asked for the lady of the house. Would not tell me what the call was in regards to.

Call for "Courtesy Call" asking for someone named Kari. I told her wrong number and she started her spiel about donating to breast cancer blah blah blah. I hung up on her.

isn't breast cancer support group called out to be a scam along with alot of other charities? or are they not a scam group?

They just called me, i said they could send an envelope, but i couldn't commit to an amount without speaking to my wife, they thanked me for my time and hung up. My sense is if they were real they would have sent an envelope.

Claim to be Breast Cancer Support group. They seek donations. Gold Seal is $50. Silver $30 Bronze $20. I remember a scam claiming to be with the Local Police 15 years ago using the same Gold, Silver, Bronze theme. They might be legit. They might not be.
