contacted me to purchase a car. wanted me to go to web site (http://shoutcarverification.me?shout) that gave a vin report on car. i am gathering once you put your credit card number into site they steal the cc number. after i looked up number and seen all the scam info on this number I texted them back that I was aware of their scamming and of course they did not contact me back. I did not put my credit card number into their site. Thank god I questioned it!

Pretending to be Google - to verify listing. When connected they asked for name to verify listing. I asked them for phone number so I can VERIFY the caller - lo and behold - the line went dead. Why do I have feeling it was a scam company? :)

It is not google, but they had a lot of information about my business and said they needed to update their records, so I asked if they worked for google and they said they did not, but wanted more information.

Dec 31 2015. I press ONE to speak to someone. The person identifies himself and then asks for my name. I ask what it is pertaining to the person explains, "This is a Google verification check for [my name] then hangs up. What gives??
