Gave no name, said I was in real trouble with the Treasury Department, and would shortly be arrested by Treasury agents. Told me to call 323-729-3659 immediately so he could stop agents in time. If i did not call him back, I would be arrested, imprisoned, and have no chance to stop the legal action against me. No amount was mentioned, just that i owed the United States Treasury a "great deal of money". I hung up after listening to enough of his threats. He called back again, I hung up again. Why can't these people be stopped by the Feds? How do they get my name, and address, and any other information they may have? I sure am getting tired of these types of phone calls. The last one was from a women, "Julie" with the same threats but claimed I owed back taxes. Someone should be able to do something about these scammers, I wish I knew what to do. These people are terrorists in my opinion, and should be treated as such. The Federal Government should do everything in it's power to catch these horrible people, and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
tell 'em to go f***k themselves. they're scamming ragheads
here we go again scammers claiming to be from the IRS. she had a government id what a joke. she said I owed over 5000 from year 2010-2011. Claiming my account did a shortfall. tried to interrupt her several times while she was reading from a card. I told her to stop reading the card and give me details. The scary part is when i call back on my landline (which is the number they called me on) she new my name and address. Telling me a I had a warrant out for my arrest, I told her she was a scammer and how could she live with herself by ripping people off. She told me within 30 mins the law enforcement would be at my door to arrest me. WTF! I told her the IRS would have sent me a notice and would not arrest me for 5000. beware of these idiots!!!!!
