Claimed to be giving away free "home alarm systems". The recorded message said "Do to the high number of home burglaries in your area, you qualify for a free home alarm system". When the live person answered and I asked them to identify themselves and the company they represent, they hung up. We actually do have a high amount of home break-ins in this area and the police have been putting up the electronic warning signs the last couple of days. This call sounded too much like a scam due to the timing and when pressed instead of answering questions like a legitimate company would, they simply hung up. Confirming its a scam. Likely identity theft. Phone number on caller ID could not be called back. spoofed.
